Terms & Conditions


Please read the Terms carefully before buying a Ticket or a Gift Voucher, (separately or together “a Ticket”) to the Studio Tour. By buying a Ticket or Tickets you agree to be bound by the Terms.

The Terms apply to the sale of Tickets to the Studio Tour only and do not apply to the sale of products from the Studio Tour Online Shop nor do they apply to any purchase which you might make from the Studio Food and Beverage outlets located within the Studio Tour.

What is the Studio Tour?

The Studio Tour is a behind-the-scenes walking tour which immerses you into the world of filmmaking, featuring authentic sets, costumes and props from the Game of Thrones Television Series.

Where is the Studio Tour?

The Studio Tour is located:

  • 3 miles (approximately 5 Kilometres) from the Town of Banbridge, County Down
  • 24 miles (approximately 38 Kilometres) from Belfast City Centre
  • 81 Miles (approximately 130 Kilometres) from Dublin City Centre

Available Ticket Types:

Age Classifications: Where Ticket prices vary according to a person’s age, or for any other reason the following provisions will apply:

  • ADULT: A person aged 16 years or older
  • CHILD: A person aged between 5 and 15 years (inclusive).
  • INFANT: A person aged 4 and under
  • FAMILY: An Adult accompanied by another Adult and two (2) Children OR
  • FAMILY: An Adult accompanied by three (3) Children
  • STUDENT: A person, aged 16 or older holding a valid Student I.D. (examples include a current, valid, NUS card or an internationally recognised Student ID), with an expiry date on display, which must be shown prior to entry to the Studio Tour
  • SENIOR: A person aged 66 years or over
  • GROUP: 8 or more persons arriving at the same time and entering the Studio Tour at the same time. Each person in a Group will be entitled to a reduced Ticket price (“The Group Rate”) which will be shown and available on our Website. Should one or more persons making up a Group nor arrive on time to enter the Studio Tour with others in the Group, the person or persons not arriving on time will not gain entry to the Studio Tour and the price of the unused Ticket(s) will not be refunded.

When and Where you must buy your Ticket

Subject to availability you must book and pay for your Tickets not less than one hour prior to your planned Departure Time of your Coach or Taxi which will be taking you to your entry to the Studio Tour.

Note: Admission Tickets will be valid for admission to the Studio Tour only if the Tickets have been purchased directly from us or directly from a TSP. Tickets offered for sale by, or purchased from, any other source will not be valid for admission to the Studio Tour.

How to Pay for your Ticket

Payment must be made in full at the time you buy a Ticket, either by use of a credit card or debit card (Visa / Mastercard)

Note: We do not accept cheques in payment for buying a Ticket to the Studio Tour.

Ticket Price Changes

The price(s) of Tickets may vary from time to time. Our prices are as stated on our Website but are liable to change at any time. When you buy a Ticket from us, via our Website, or by phone, email or post, we will confirm the correct Ticket price at the time of purchase and the correct total amount payable to enable you to complete your Ticket purchase.

Ticket Inspection

You must be in possession of a valid Ticket to gain entry to the Studio Tour. During your visit to the Studio Tour, you must always retain your Ticket and you must make your Ticket available for inspection if required to do so by any member of the Studio Tour staff who will produce Studio Tour Staff identity if required. Failure to produce a valid Ticket when properly requested to do so may result in your removal from the Studio Tour.

When you have confirmed your booking and you have made payment of the total amount payable, the Ticket price printed on your Ticket(s) will not be changed before your entry to the Studio Tour, even if Ticket prices might have changed on our Website.

Ticket Cancellation

If we Cancel your Ticket: In the event of circumstances arising which are outside our control, it may be necessary to cancel your Ticket(s) to the Studio Tour. In such circumstances we will advise you as soon as we become aware of the need to cancel. Having advised you of the need to and the reason for cancellation of your Ticket(s) we will refund the total amount you paid for your cancelled Ticket(s).

If you Cancel your Ticket: If you decide to, or if you are compelled to cancel your Ticket(s) you must immediately advise us of your wish to cancel by telephoning us on +44 (0) 28 40 464 777 at which time we will cancel your Ticket(s). We will not refund the total or any amount which you paid for the cancelled Ticket(s). We may, in our absolute discretion, refund all or part of the money which you paid for the cancelled Ticket(s) if there are genuine extenuating circumstances, of which you may advise us at the time you cancel your Ticket(s).

Ticket Cancellation / Refund

Other than as set out in these Terms, Ticket(s) which you have bought from us or from a Studio Tour official TSP, or which you have received as a gift or otherwise, are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-transferable
  • Not to be resold
  • Void if altered or defaced

Any ticket which we have reason to believe to have been transferred, resold, altered and / or defaced will not be accepted by us for entry to the Studio Tour.

When you purchase a Ticket to the Studio Tour from a Third-Party Seller

If you choose to buy a Ticket to the Studio Tour from one of our official TSPs, including, but not limited to online or offline Tour Operators, Attraction Ticket sellers, Group Tour Organisers, Bus / Coach Operators, your purchase will be bound by the Terms & Conditions of Sale of the Third-Party and by the Privacy Policy of the Third-Party. You should carefully review the Terms and Policies of your selected Ticket seller.

Re-entry

Each Ticket which you purchase will entitle one person to have one Entry to the Studio Tour on one occasion. If, for any reason, (including having completed your Studio Tour) you exit the Studio Tour, you will not be re-admitted to the Studio Tour without having bought another Ticket.

Failure to arrive on time

Should you, or any person accompanying you and named on your Ticket(s), not arrive at or before your booked Coach or Taxi Departure Time, your boarding of the Coach or Taxi to the Studio Tour will not be permitted. In such circumstances we will try to arrange Coach or Taxi transport to the Studio Tour later the same day, for the person or persons who failed to arrive at the Coach or Taxi for the correct Departure Time. In the event that there are no other available Coach or Taxi Departure Times of available on that day, you will be required to transfer your booking to the nearest date and time available and you will be required to pay an Administration charge of £5.00 for each Ticket which must be amended.

If we amend your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Time

We reserve the right, when deemed, (in our absolute discretion), to be necessary, to amend or change your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Date or Time. We will notify you as soon as we become aware that it is necessary to amend or change your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Time. Should we have to make a significant change to your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Time (i.e. by four (4) hours or more), you may choose to select, subject to availability, a new Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Date and / or Time, arranged with us via our customer service telephone line +44 (0) 28 40 464 777 or you may choose to cancel your Ticket(s), whereupon we will refund you all the monies you have paid to us for the Ticket(s). No further compensation will be paid.

If you wish to amend your Allocated Entry Time

When your Ticket and your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Date and Time have been issued, and should you wish to change your Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Date or Time, you will be required to call our customer service line on +44 (0) 28 40 464 777 to request an alternative Reserved Coach or Taxi Departure Date and Time, subject to availability. There will be a charge of £5.00 amendment fee for each Ticket which must be amended.

On Site Behaviour

When visiting the Studio Tour, you agree to abide by the Law, to respect the rights and entitlements of the Studio Tour staff and employees, other visitors to the site and other visitors to the Studio Tour. We will not permit, accept or condone any behaviour by you or anyone accompanying you, which might be in danger of causing injury, offence or insult to another person, nor will we accept behaviour or language which we deem, at our absolute discretion, to be obscene, foul mouthed, objectionable, inflammatory or defamatory. We have and we will exercise our right to refuse your admission and / or to have you removed from any part of the site or the Studio Tour, if we believe your continued presence on our property might be a danger to others or might affect the enjoyment of others.

Specific Prohibitions

When visiting the Studio Tour or any associated property of The Studio Tour the following rules will apply:

  • no offensive weapons
  • no illegal drugs to be brought onto or used when on our property
  • no consumption of alcoholic beverages except those acquired from us in our Food and Beverage areas
  • no Food or Drink to be brought onto our property
  • no animals to brought onto our property other than fully trained active Assistance Dogs
  • no use of bicycles, other than for access to the Studio Tour parking area at the Boulevard Shopping Outlet
  • no use of roller skates, skateboards, balls or frisbees

Smoking – where you can and where you cannot smoke

On our property, you must observe Northern Ireland legislated Smoking Regulations. These Regulations require that:

You may smoke:

  • in only those areas which are designated and signed as being “Smoking Permitted” areas
  • outdoors in areas which are not “substantially enclosed”
  • in your own car if it is used primarily for private use

You may not smoke:

  • in any enclosed areas
  • in any substantially enclosed public places
  • in any workplaces
  • on public transport

Indoor Smoking Rooms are not permitted in Northern Ireland. If you wish to smoke, you must go outside to do so.

Dress Code

You should dress in a smart / casual style when visiting the Studio Tour. Specifically, as a courtesy to other visitors, tops / shirts and appropriate footwear must always be worn. We reserve the right to ask you to remove or cover up items of clothing which we deem to display inappropriate messages or images.

Temporary Closures of the Studio

We will use our reasonable endeavours to be open and operational during published opening hours, but we reserve the right, without notice, to close the Studio Tour on any given day, or time of day, whether for security or any other reason. In the event of such closure, any Tickets issued for use on only the day of closure will be exchanged or refunded by us at the price paid for the Tickets, but no further compensation will be paid.

Partial Closure / Removal of selected exhibits: From time to time, it may be necessary to close parts of the Studio Tour and / or certain exhibits may be removed from the Studio Tour for maintenance or for technical reasons.

When such closures or removals are known to us in advance, we will post the information on our Website advising dates and times of closure or removals.

During such times of closure or removal, Tickets will not be refunded, and no compensation will be paid in the event of any such partial closures or removals.

Trademarks and Copyrights

The materials incorporated within the Studio Tour including, without limitation, any sets, props, wardrobe, text, graphics, images, artwork, illustrations, photographs, animations, music, video, audio, audio-visual works, designs, logos, software and any other content (together, “Material”) are protected by copyrights, patents, trade secrets or other proprietary rights owned by us and/or our licensors and/or HBO (“Intellectual Property Rights”). Some of the characters, logos or other images incorporated within the Studio Tour are also protected as registered or unregistered trademarks, trade names and/or service marks owned by us, our licensors or HBO (“Trademarks”). We respect the intellectual property rights of others and ask you to do the same.

Photography

From time to time, we or other authorised third parties may carry out photography and/or other recording at the Studio Tour and any images and/or recordings may feature visitors. You consent to the use of such images and/or recordings by us in connection with advertising, promoting the Studio Tour (such as on the Studio Tour website, social media sites and pages, partner sites, outdoor advertising and brochures for the Studio Tour), and for our internal purposes, and in doing so, you allow us to edit, modify, publish and make available such images and/or recordings. You acknowledge and agree that you will not receive compensation if we use such images and/or recordings for the purposes set out above. If any visitors to the Studio Tour are under 18, you, being the parent or legal guardian of such persons, also consent to the use of their image and/or recordings for the purposes set out above. You acknowledge that the copyright in such images and/or recordings rests with us and/or any authorised third party and accordingly you grant us and/or any authorised third party all rights in any images and/or recordings of you and/or your children.

The taking of photographs with handheld cameras is allowed in all areas of the Studio Tour apart from within the pre-show Cinema and Green Screen areas. Video recordings as well as the use of flashes, tripods and other specialist photographic equipment are not permitted. Photographs are for you to enjoy for your own personal, private, non-commercial purposes only. Unless permission has been granted by us, picture and images cannot be reproduced in any format or media other than for private viewing.

Health and Safety

Several special effects (including sudden loud effects and strobe lighting) may be used in certain areas within the Studio Tour. It is recommended that you advise us if you or any of your guests have high blood pressure, heart conditions, Autism, or other pre-existing medical conditions. You should ask the Studio Tour staff for details of any areas or experiences which should be avoided, in areas of the Studio Tour at which such special effects are located.

From time to time the Studio Tour staff may draw your attention to certain health and safety procedures to which you must adhere including fire evacuation.

Security

The safety and security of our guests is a priority at Game of Thrones Studio Tour. You will be asked to submit to a search of your personal belongings (including bags). Should you refuse to submit, or you are found to be in possession of materials which we believe to be dangerous, illegal, or unsuitable, you will be denied entry or removed from the Studio Tour. Items found will be confiscated and illegal items will not be returned.

You must always keep your personal belongings with you when you are visiting the Studio Tour. In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by us, we accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to any personal belongings brought into the Studio Tour.

Dedicated car parking, located at our Studio Tour parking area at the Boulevard Shopping Outlet, Banbridge, will be made available, free of charge, for your use if you are holding valid Tickets to the Studio Tour.

We accept no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage to any vehicle (or its contents) while parked within the Studio Tour parking area adjacent to the Boulevard Shopping Outlet, Banbridge.

Our Liabilities

Our liability for losses which you might suffer as a result of us breaching a contract between us is strictly limited to the purchase price of the Ticket(s) you bought and any losses which are a foreseeable consequence of us breaching the contract at the date the Ticket(s) were bought. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and by us at the time of buying your Ticket(s) having regard to the information which was available at that time. This does not exclude or limit in any way our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that or our employees (if acting within the course of their employment), agents or suppliers (if carrying out the work which they were contracted to do); or any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.

We are not responsible for indirect losses which occur as a side effect of the main loss or damage, or for any losses which fall into the following categories: loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of data or waste of management or office time, loss of goodwill, disappointments or emotional distress, loss of travel and / or accommodation costs and / or any other loss or damage which was not reasonably foreseeable by us at the date the Ticket was bought, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract otherwise, even if foreseeable.

Where part of the services you have paid for in connection with the Studio Tour are provided by a third-party supplier, that supplier’s individual liability will be set out in their own terms and conditions. You may request directly from the supplier, copies of any relevant terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not accept liability for acts or omissions by you or any person(s) on behalf of whom you have bought a Ticket, or unconnected third parties or suppliers of services which do not form part of the contract between you and us.

Events outside our Control

Subject to applicable law, we shall have no liability to you if we are prevented from, or are delayed in performing our obligations under any contract with you or from carrying on our business by acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving our employees or any other party), failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or government order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or subcontractors.

Variation

We have the right to revise and amend these Terms from time to time by notifying you or placing updated Terms on our website. You may not vary these Terms unless agreed in writing with us. You will be subject to the Terms in force at the time you purchase your Tickets to the Studio Tour. You may wish to print a copy of these Terms with a date-stamp for future reference.

Waiver

If we fail, at any time, to insist upon the strict performance of any of your obligations under any of these Terms, or if we fail to exercise any of our rights or remedies to which we are entitled, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.

Severability

If any of these Terms is determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Third Party Rights

A person who is not a party to these Terms shall not have any rights under or in connection with them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and any document referred to in them constitutes the whole agreement between us and supersedes all previous discussions, correspondence, negotiations, previous arrangement, understanding or agreement between us relating to the subject matter of these Terms.

You acknowledge that, in agreeing to these Terms, you do not rely on any representation or warranty (whether made innocently or negligently) that is not set out in these Terms. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for fraud.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Northern Ireland law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

Gift Vouchers

Game of Thrones Studio Tour (“the Tour”) Gift Vouchers (“Vouchers”) are available and can be purchased in Pounds Sterling

Vouchers can be redeemed only in exchange for Tickets of Admission to The Studio Tour, obtained:

Vouchers will be valid for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the Voucher. Vouchers not redeemed within the 24 month validity period will be forfeit. A Voucher which is forfeit will have no value or entitlement to a refund or exchange.

Purchase of a Voucher will not be a guarantee of obtaining a Ticket of Admission to the Tour. Purchases made using a Voucher are subject to the Tour Terms and Conditions click here

Vouchers may be used as:

  1. Full payment for the Tour Tickets of Admission
  2. Part-payment for Tour Tickets of Admission with the balance being paid by other payment methods accepted by the Tour
  3. Vouchers used to make purchases of the Tour Tickets will be issued with a replacement Voucher valued at the difference between the value of the original Voucher and the price paid for the goods and / or services

Vouchers cannot be refunded for cash, transferred or replaced if stolen, lost or destroyed

For the avoidance of doubt, the word “Voucher” used in these Terms refers only to Vouchers purchased from the Tour as set out above

Risk will pass to you, the customer, on dispatch, by us, of the Voucher(s) and title will pass to you the customer, on receipt by us of payment in full.

When we dispatch a Voucher to you by email, risk will pass to you when the email is sent, and title will pass to you on receipt by us of payment in full.

We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to amend or change these Terms without notice. Any and all changes to these Terms will be posted on the Tour Website as soon as possible after any such change has been decided.
